Fiber is probably THE most overlooked essential item in weight loss. Check out what I mean...
Just like a car, when your body combine nutrients and oxygen to create ENERGY (measured in calories) it produces exhaust. Your car has an exhaust system that takes the by product of producing horsepower and shoots it out the back pipe.
Your body also has an exhaust system for the toxins created by producing energy, but it is not nearly as automatic as your cars system. If don't eat sufficient fiber your body will function good enough to keep you alive, but as far as weight loss.....forget. it.
Eating sufficient fiber gives the toxins a vehicle to leave the body (or go out the back pipe if you will). Without that vehicle those toxins are recycled through your blood stream until they find a ride out (of the back pipe). Because of carrying around these extra toxins (or exhaust) your systems, especially the ones pertaining to weight loss are hampered by at least 20% of their maximum function.
Women should eat at least 18 grams of fiber per day and men 25 grams. PLUS at least a gallon of water to keep everything running at 100%.
Do yourself a favor and start checking a few labels for fiber content today!!
