Day 76 of 100 - I lost 5 lbs in 2 days!!
March 17th.
How did I lose 5 lbs in 2 days?? Is that possible? What am I losing? Water? Fat? Poo? I will break it down for you right here...
Sorry, but most of the weight is water and poo....HOWEVER it is still one hell of a motivation to see that scale drop.
How is it done?
-If you have been following my blog you will see my food the last couple of days is about 50% protein, 18 % carbs and and 32% fat.
I know, I know....I hear you saying.....Yeah Dave, but what in the Smokey Mountains does that mean?
Here is the laymen breakdown:
- I ate about 2200 calories when I had been eating 3200.....(how do I know? It took me 1 minute to estimate on a piece of paper. It might take you 5 WHOLE minutes)
- I ate about 10 grams of sugar per day when I had been eating about 100 grams per day (By they way, you could drink a gallon of the worlds best "fat burner" and it wouldn't even scratch the results of eating low amounts of refined sugar. It starts more fire than giving jet fuel to a crack smoking arsonist).
- I ate no bread, rice, or pasta.
- The EAS shakes, green vegetables, and nuts provide me with insane amounts of fiber to get the poo train rolling.
- Drinking 2 gallons of water per day is like an oral enema for all the toxins clogging your vital biological processes.
- Reading the "Go-Giver" has helped me to become so happy with my life in the last couple of days that stress is minimal and thus cortisol (a fat storing hormone produced by stress) is not unnecessarily coursing through my veins.
- A couple of solid workouts.
- I did not eat before bed and got 6 to 8 hours of sleep.
and BAM.....185.8 to 181. 8 in 2 days. I feel lean and in control of my body.
I won't eat exactly like this long term. Just for the last 26 day of my 100 Day challenge to exercise at least 30 minutes a day for 100 days, including 100 push ups a day.
I will add some fruit back in, have M and M's at the movies, and eat my favorite foot long turkey with vegetables from Subway and Potbelly. (With a little Home Slice Pizza once in while).
The exercise just gives me the motivation we all need to keep the game going. For those of you that think your fitness journey will ever be over.... forget it Pippy Longstocking. Life won't allow it. We always need to reinvent our program and goals to keep the dream alive.
