Day 73 of 100 - Exposed!!
March 14th.
I was exposed as a 2 day a week crossfitter with the 3rd and final workout of the competition on Sunday. This last workout was a morter forker. Here is what it consisted of...
Workout
15 Thrusters (115lbs) That's deep front squat and press 115lbs over head 15 times in a row
Run 100 Feet
50 1 arm snatches (53 lbs kettle bell) Thats swing between your legs and snap overhead.
Run 100 Feet
100 Double Unders (That is jump rope 2 swings under your feet with one jump, 100 times)
Run 100 Feet
50 Over head Swings with 53 lbs Kettle Bell
Carry 53lbs Kettle Bell the last 100 Feet
15 Snatch Overhead to Full Deep Squat with 115lbs barbell
Let's put it like this...The guy who won this event did it in about 11 minutes (Crossfitting for 6 years). Daddy Dave took 23 minutes (Crossfitting for 8 months) . I was very happy to finish before the 25 minutes cut off.
More than 30 guys did not finish the workout.
I ended up 59th out of 120 of the best Crossfitters in South Texas and Louisiana.
This was one of the most fun things I have ever done. Now that I know what it takes I can't wait to train for another year and come back in 2011 to kick major butt!
And I did my 100 push ups!!
