Day 60 of 100 - Boxing is the Best!

Besides Crossfit there is only one other type of fitness training that I think is FUN FUN FUN...and gives you a hell of a workout...

If you have ever done boxing you know what I mean. Most of my clients can't wait for me to pull the gloves out of my bag. (Maybe that's because they want to hit me after the previous 45 minutes of requisite body sculpting, but either way they love it.)

Hitting the mitts, doing the ab exercises (which seem to have more purpose in boxing training and so aren't such a pain in the arse), the speed bag, the heavy bag, jumping rope, learning combinations, bouncing on a tire to learn foot spacing, hitting a tire with a sledge hammer, and even jogging seems to be more fun.

Plus you can be a total beginner and have a blast or have 6 months of training and still have tons of room for improvement.  I learned from Richard Lord at www.lordsboxing.com but you can find a boxing gym close to your house on google I am sure.

Workout

Warm Up and Drills
Jump Rope 5 minutes
20 squats and 20 pushups
Shadow Boxing 4 Rounds x 3 minutes, with 1 minute rest in between rounds
80 More Push Ups
10 Hanging Toe to Bar Ab exercises and 40 slow crunches while balancing on a bench
Stretching
