Day 58 of 100 - How Stella Got Her Groove Back

February 27th.

I think Stella had to sleep with a much younger Taye Diggs to get her groove back.  So while I am thankful I don't have to sleep with Mr. Diggs,  I am starting to get my running groove back.  My 5K was on fire Saturday night....

I busted 22 minutes for the first time in a year and came in at 21:54. That's about 7:18 per mile which is not to shabby. However, when you run that close to your max current conditioning you have to play all sorts of mind games with yourself not to slow down.

Your mind wants to you to quit at about the halfway point and by the time you get near the finish you have to pretend you are having an out of body experience to keep pace.

It is remarkable what the body is capable of when you learn to ignore your inner quitter.

100 Push ups!!

Thanks!!!
