Day 44 of 100 - 4 C's of Optimum Fitness
February 13th.
I spoke this morning at a chiropractor's seminar for about 12 minutes on getting what you want out of life (video coming later.) It inspired me to lay out the 4 C's of Optimum Fitness. Here they are...
1C - Calories. Studies have shown that 95% of Americans have NO IDEA how many calories they consume in a day. Does tracking calories turn you off? Try not looking at your bank account balance for 3 months and see what happens.
Solution: If you want to get fit either eat perfect (good luck on that one), or track your calories on a computer program for 100 days (or just f$%&n forget losing weight long term. It doesn't make a bad person.)
2C - Concentration. If you are thinking about work instead of working out your fat will stay stuck on you like a band aid stuck on me.
Solution: Write down your goals, get the eye of tiger, and think intensely about what you are working towards. Use perfect form and don't rest longer than 90 seconds EVER!!
3C - Confusion. Your body is attempting to find the most efficient way to keep you alive every second of every minute of every day. If you do EXACTLY the same workout on a regular basis your body adapts to use the LEAST amount of energy possible.
Solution: Confuse your body by doing different exercises, different rep numbers, different weights, different speeds, different inclines, different temperatures....are you picking up what I am dropping? Even though do 100 push ups every day I vary the speed, closeness of my hands, work them in at the beginning of the workout and at the end and so on...
4C- Consistency. Numero uno problemo. We live in a society where we want all the results without putting in the work. Nearly NOTHING good comes from overnight success. Did you know that 75% of all lottery winners go broke or commit suicide? If people don't look like Athena or Zeus in 30 Days they hang up the high tops.
Solution: Make a commitment to stick to a program for 100 days and DND. Do Not Deviate from the 100 Days. You may get off course but commit to 100 Days. I don't care what people tell you OR sell you, it takes 100 Days to see a no kidding I look different in my underwear kind of result with your body. Can I get an Amen??
Workout:
Warmup and Drills x 5 with 100 Push ups!!! (Getting ready for the marathon tomorrow!)
